Je me nomme Batt Cauchy, je suis basé dans les Hauts-de-France et ma vie entière a toujours tourné autour des arts graphiques et musicaux.
MON PARCOURS
Quels sont les évènements marquants qui m'ont poussé à devenir artiste/graphiste freelance?
- Diverses formations certifiantes, telles que : Infographiste metteur en page, Digital Painter, Motion Designer, Infographiste 3D Blender.
- Infographiste en imprimerie/sérigraphie pendant 11 ans.
- Graphiste et illustrateur pour une dizaine d'albums de musique rock, electro et metal
- Graphiste et illustrateur pour diverses associations évènementielles (affiches, logos, expos,...)
- Illustrateur pour le jeu de société édité "Vous êtes dans une auberge"
- Concept artist amateur dans le domaine du jeu vidéo indépendant.
- Bédéiste amateur (ce qui m'a permis de développer de solides notions de storyboarding).

CE QUE JE PROPOSE
Les deux domaines qui me tiennent à coeur sont l'illustration et l'animation. Vous pouvez retrouver l'essentiel de mon travail dans mes galeries PRO et PERSO.
Que suis-je capable d'illustrer pour vous ? J'évolue dans un domaine inspiré du cartoon et du street art autant au crayon "traditionnel" qu'en "digital painting" ou encore en "vectoriel". Que ce soit pour un personnage ou pour un environnement, j'ai un style assez "biscornu", je fais rarement des choses rectilignes (pas la peine de m'embaucher pour un projet de SF ;) ). Je fais très peu de fan arts.
Que suis-je capable d'animer pour vous ? Animation 2D d'un logo (ou d'un autre visuel vectoriel), photo, timelapse ou illustration animée (clip musical, éducation ou documentaire), génériques pour chaînes vidéo et stream (youtube, twitch, ...), bannières vidéo pour réseaux sociaux, etc.
De plus, mon passé d'infographiste me permet d'anticiper les besoins de mise en page inhérent à certains travaux. Cela me permet de proposer mes services pour vos projets d'affiches, bande dessinée / artbooks / livres, storyboard, charte graphique et logo (web et print), jeux de société, jeux vidéos (assets 2D et direction artistique), tatouages, signalétique / pub, ...
Etant moi-même musicien depuis 20 ans, je connais bien les besoins en identité visuelle des artistes. Je suis en mesure de proposer l'accompagnement d'un groupe ou asso pour un projet de sortie d'album de musique.
Il s'agira de créer de A à Z tout l'univers autour du CD en anticipant tous les formats possibles bannières web, divers réseaux sociaux, prints, gravures, et surtout...les videos ! "lyrics video", teasers/trailer pour sortie d'album ou pour annoncer les prochains concerts, génériques, "animatics" (une sorte de storyboard animé), canvas fixes ou animés (pour spotify, notamment), etc

Je suis aussi fan, depuis tout petit, de bandes dessinées tels que Kid Paddle, Mélusine, le Petit Spirou, Gaston Lagaffe, Calvin & Hobbes et Liberty Meadows. Je m'inspire souvent de ces références quand je dois créer des personnages.
De plus depuis quelques années j'ai un attrait pour l'univers Street Art/Graffitis en général et j'essaie de conjuguer ce style avec ma base cartoon.
L'univers de la série animée Wakfu et en général l'oeuvre de "Xaxaxa".
